Napoleon Biggs, co-founder and CEO of Instant Studio, joins the journalist and author Rebecca Fannin at Asia Society Hong Kong on Thursday 5 November. Their fireside chat, "The New Tech Titans of China: AI, EVs and the New Global Technology Order", runs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center in Admiralty. Fannin founded Silicon Dragon Ventures and has reported on Chinese entrepreneurs, investors and technology companies for decades. Her books include Silicon Dragon and The New Tech Titans of China. She and Biggs will discuss where China's technology companies lead and how rivalry with the United States shapes what they build next.
Biggs will ask Fannin "who turns adoption into advantage first". He argues that adopting AI was the first race, and that companies now compete on turning that use into returns. Biggs is in Hong Kong for Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK 2026, which runs from 2 to 6 November. He attends the main conference at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 2 and 3 November. For the rest of the week he is at events across the city.
